What we collect?

At NextGen Metals Corp., we purchase a wide range of ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Whether you have a single bag of copper pipe or 50 tons of industrial structural steel, we provide competitive, market-based pricing.

1. Non-Ferrous Metals (High Value)

Non-ferrous metals do not contain iron, are not magnetic, and generally command the highest prices per pound.

  • Copper:

    • Clean pipes, bus bars, and wire (no solder, paint, or insulation).

    • Oxidized pipe, soldered joints, and burnt wire.

    • Copper wiring from residential or industrial demolition (Romex, THHN, Cat5/6).

  • Aluminum:

    • Window frames and door tracks (clean or with thermal break).

    • Siding, gutters, and lawn furniture.

    • Clean aluminum car and truck wheels.

  • Brass & Bronze:

    • Yellow/Red Brass: Plumbing fixtures, valves, and musical instruments.

    • Hard Brass: Machinery bushings and gears.

NextGen Metals Corp. | Safety First Policy

Our Commitment: At NextGen Metals, safety is not a checkbox—it is our operating system. We believe that every accident is preventable and that no piece of metal is worth a human injury.

1. The "NextGen" Golden Rules

To ensure a secure environment, all staff and visitors must adhere to the following:

  • PPE (Personal Protective Equipment): Hard hats, high-visibility vests, and steel-toed boots are mandatory in all processing areas.

  • Clear Communication: All heavy machinery operators have the right of way. Maintain eye contact and wait for a signal before approaching any loader or crane.

  • Zero Tolerance: Use of mobile phones while operating machinery or walking through the yard is strictly prohibited.

2. Yard Traffic Control

A busy yard is a dangerous yard. We manage flow through:

  • Designated Drop Zones: Clearly marked lanes for residential vs. industrial offloading to prevent congestion.

  • Speed Limits: A strict 5 MPH limit is enforced throughout the facility.

  • Engine Off Policy: All vehicles must be turned off during the weighing and unloading process to prevent accidental movement.

3. Material Integrity & Hazard Control

We protect our environment and our people by screening what enters our facility:

  • Hazardous Materials: We do not accept sealed tanks, pressure vessels, or materials containing CFCs/PCBs unless certified as drained and "Safe for Scrap."

  • Radiation Screening: All incoming loads pass through gate-mounted radiation portals to ensure the safety of our downstream melting partners.

4. Continuous Training

Safety is a moving target. NextGen maintains its edge through:

  • Daily "Tailgate" Meetings: Morning briefings to discuss specific hazards of the day’s workload.

  • Emergency Response: Our team is trained in first aid, fire suppression, and spill containment protocols.

  • Safety Audits: Weekly internal inspections and monthly third-party reviews to identify and eliminate potential risks.

The NextGen Safety Pledge: “I am responsible for my safety and the safety of those around me. If I see an unsafe act, I have the authority and the obligation to stop the work immediately.”
